After a successful debut season, the WGL is bringing you season 2 of the best Gears league in the UK, and with it promises of an even better experience!
In season 2, there will be three leagues available:
- 5v5 Mixed Modes League
- 4v4 Execution League
- 4v4 Alpha League
[Mixed Modes League]
This time around we've decided to "mix" things up abit, so game modes such as KOTH and CTL have more frequent appearances.
- Capture the Leader (CTL) and King of the Hill (KOTH) will be included every week, and Execution, Warzone and Team Deathmatch will be on rotation now instead.
- Sawed-Off shotgun is banned
[Execution League]
Mainly just changes to weapons in this league, as once again general feedback the rules etc was good.
- Retro Lancer is now banned from this league
- Sawed-Off Shotgun is again banned
- Hammerburst Rifle will NOT be removed

- Game modes will include, KOTH, Warzone/Execution and TDM. There will be no CTL!
- There will be weapon swaps in this league (TBA) so watch this space...
- Lancers and Gnashers will be the only starting weapons. In other words NO Hammerburst, Sawed-Off or Retro
[Across all Leagues]
- Ink grenades MUST be swapped for Smoke grenades on all maps
- All new maps from the most recent DLC (Azura, Bulletmarsh, Rustlung, Clocktower, Blood Drive) will be included next season
As there are some clear changes/tweaks for season 2, it is advisable that all participating clans have a look at the updated rules section for each league they choose to enter.
Now for the all important dates for your diaries:
* 28th December * - Registrations will Close
* 9th January * - Season 2 kicks off
